1. Creative Brief
The creative brief is a short questionnaire that helps us better understand your business and what you’re looking for in the animation (features and benefits, your brand, and who your target audience is).
2. Voiceover Script
The voiceover script is the backbone of the animation (for visuals and timing). With hundreds of videos under our belt, we’ll write a script that effectively communicates your message and serves as the narration for the final animated video.
3. Concept Frames
Working in accordance with your brand guidelines (and using our brief) we then create a few of concept frames so you can decide which ones you like and make sure we are heading in the right direction.
Once we’ve signed off the voiceover script and concept frames, we’ll draw up a storyboard that shows the visuals for the video scene-by-scene. This is where the video really starts to take shape. You’ll see how each scene is designed, the layout, and the progression of the story.
If you have an important message to deliver, you want to have the right person delivering it. We will help you with the selection process and will discuss tone and delivery of the script with you. We let you choose a voice from our curated selection of professional voice talent.
Here’s where everything takes shape. Once the concept frames, storyboard and voiceover are approved we get cracking with putting your animation together. Just sit back, relax and let us do our thing!
7. Music/Sound FX
During the animation stage we then start adding music and a various sound effects. We can pick a suitable track for you or provide a selection to choose from.
Finally we provide a link to the first edit where you will have the option to review it and provide any feedback. We allow 2 rounds of revisions so don’t worry!

How long do animated videos take to produce?
This depends on the video length, however standard turnaround is usually 1-2 weeks (including feedback/amendments), if you require it sooner then that’s no problem, just let us know. The concept creation/scriptwriting is around 1-2 days, the illustration/animation phase around 4-6 days and then feedback is around 1-2 days. We like to adopt a simple and transparent workflow, working with you every step of the way to make sure your animated explainer video is entertaining and engaging.

What is the ideal length of an animated video?
The recommended length of an animated web video, to achieve optimum customer engagement is 60-90 seconds, however we are not confined by these time limitations. If the product demands it, we can extend the video, but we wouldn’t advise it being longer than 4 minutes, so if you can condense the amount of information and what you want to say as far as possible, than this is a good start.
